We are in Collingwood for the first time in our (nearly) 2 years of existence with a special event held at the beautiful space- The Commons.\n\nFree tickets here: https://funjune.eventbrite.com\n\nWe have grown a huge community of people attending our events and we soldier on, showcasing amazing stories of personal, business and project failure and the wisdom and resilience learned from such experiences.\n\nFuckUp Nights is a global movement born in Mexico in 2012 to share public business failure stories with hundreds of people attending each event around the world. Each month speakers will be invited to talk about their FuckUp stories; we’ll learn about their biggest mistakes, what they learned, how they moved on- all whilst sharing invaluable advice along the way.\n\nThe speakers will candidly share in 7-10 minutes:\n\n* What their project / business was\n\n* What went wrong / How it affected their personal life / What they learned / What they would do differently.\n\nSpeaker 1: Richie Meldrum, Head of Brand & Content at August & Vice Chair, VIC Council at AGDA (Australian Graphic Designers Association)\n\nSpeaker 2: Kaylene Langford, Founder at Startup Creative\n\nSpeaker 3: Mete Erdogan, Creative Director at Either Either\n\nAt the end of each person’s story, you’ll have a chance to ask questions- nothing too cheeky, but feel free to dig around.You’ll hear stories and advice you won’t get elsewhere - and these stories will (hopefully) put you in good stead to not make the same fuckups.\n\nAttendance is free, but we do ask you to register in advance at https://funjune.eventbrite.com\n\nSupported by our partners The Commons, KJR, Young Henrys, General Assembly Melbourne, Inspire9 & Collabosaurus\n\nFind out more at: https://www.facebook.com/FUNMelb/ & join the community at https://www.meetup.com/FuckUp-Nights-Melbourne/","venue":{"name":"The Commons","address":"36-38 Gipps Street, Collingwood","city":"Melbourne"},"community":"humans-make-mistakes","city":"Melbourne","imageUrl":"/media/archive/05909aa46ccf6ebcb1898cfc-display.webp","slug":"fuckup-nights-june-stories-about-failure-251696417","sources":[{"provider":"Meetup","url":"https://www.meetup.com/fuckup-nights-melbourne/events/251696417","savedAt":"2025-04-16T08:11:07.930Z"}]},"album":null}
