A small group met at WOTSO Blacktown for demos and discussion about AI in business. One member showed how AI could extend what their business can do. Thanks to everyone who came along.
Original event details
Join developers and small business owners in Blacktown to explore how local AI can save time, reduce costs, strengthen data security and create new sources of revenue.
Through lightning talks and discussion, we’ll look at automating business workflows, building useful AI products and delivering services customers will pay for.
Local AI on everyday hardware
Explore what you can do on an iPhone, laptop or Mac mini: from small models running on the device itself to agents that route tasks to the right model or tool.
Practical applications include private document processing, offline app features and assistants connected to ERP or internal tools. Discuss what can stay on your hardware, where cloud services help and how to turn these setups into useful products and paid services.
What to expect
- What’s new in local LLMs: models, tools and ideas worth trying.
- AI at work: keeping company data in-house and finding capable models for ERP, internal tools and everyday workloads.
- Hardware for serious business use: comparing GPUs, memory, performance and costs.
