SOLD OUT

Welcome to FuckUp Nights Melbourne! Following on from our massive (and sold out) event on Valentine's Day, we are taking this show on the road (well... just down the road) to Vinomofo HQ, for a special and intimate evening with the people behind this amazing brand of wine lovers, without the bowties and BS.

FREE tickets available here: https://funapril.eventbrite.com

We are getting close to 2 years old, and in that time we have grown a huge community of people attending our events all over Melbourne. We continue on in 2018 to showcase amazing stories of personal, business and project failure and the wisdom and resilience learned from such experiences.

FuckUp Nights is a global movement born in Mexico in 2012 to share public business failure stories with hundreds of people attending each event around the world. Each month speakers will be invited to talk about their FuckUp stories; we’ll learn about their biggest mistakes, what they learned, how they moved on- all whilst sharing invaluable advice along the way.

Our storyteller will candidly share their personal journey as well as numerous anecdotes, fuckups and lessons learned throughout their time.

Speaker: Andre Eikmeier - Co-Founder & Joint CEO, Vinomofo (https://www.vinomofo.com/)

After years of poverty, stupidity, half an accounting degree, a failed family business, an acting career in four out of five of Australia's worst TV shows, a singing career that never transcended being lead singer in a One Hit Wonders covers band, a failed theatre production company which led to an event management company to pay off its debts, a job on the phones at a direct marketing wine company, a one-man video production company that was meant to be a film company but never quite got there, an online wine social site which made absolutely no money, and a year-long kombi wine adventure travelling round the country...

... Andre finally launched online wine site Vinomofo with brother in law Justin in 2011, and it's grown to be one of the most successful wine sites in the country, winning a host of business awards including Deloitte's Fastest Growing Tech company in 2013, BRW’s Best Employer in 2014, ORIA’s Online Retailer of the Year 2015, and Telstra Victorian Business of the Year 2016.

In six years, the company has grown from two founders in their garage to a team of over 100 and a valuation of $100 million, and they’re now taking Vinomofo to the world, having launched in New Zealand and Singapore, with US to follow this year.

“We want to unite a tribe of mofos with our love of wine, and food, and this adventure called life,” says Andre. “We want to be proud of what we do and our impact on the world, and we want to have fun!”

At the end of the story, you’ll have a chance to ask questions- nothing too cheeky, but feel free to dig around. You’ll hear stories and advice you won’t get elsewhere - and these stories will (hopefully) put you in good stead to not make the same fuckups.

Attendance is free, but we do ask you to register in advance.
